In the all-program draw, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) offers 3,500 applicants ITas (invitations to apply). In addition, candidates are required to have a minimum CRS score of 483.

In the all-program draw, applicants, are considered from CEC, i.e., Canadian Experience Class, FSWP, i.e., Federal Skilled Worker Program, and FSTP, i.e., Federal Skilled Trades Program.

Another followed the express entry draw on April 12, wherein 3,000 candidates received ITAs. Moreover, they needed a minimum CRS score of 486.

The draw held on April 12 invited just half the number of candidates in the draws on March 15, 23, and 29. These draws invited over 7000 candidates each over two weeks instead of a typical bi-weekly draw.

In addition, it also raised the CRS score from 481 to 386. The draw size and the higher CRS score are synchronized with previous draws in 2022 and early 2023.

Express Entry Draw Of March

This year, March saw over 21,000 ITAs issued in a single month. Interestingly, this was the second-highest number of ITAs issued in the history of Express Entry.

The most significant number of ITAs issued in the month was 27,332, wherein a single draw was used to choose the participants in February 2021.

That being said, the first draw in March, inviting 7,000 applicants, was the most significant draw ever. This number will be replicated in the subsequent two draws, for 21,000 ITAs this month, spread out over two weeks.

The remaining 667 ITAs were issued in the draw held on March 1, which targeted only PNP, i.e., Provincial Nominee Program candidates.

In total, four express entry draws were held in March.

Express Entry – What Is It?

Express Entry is an application management system established in 2015 to evaluate & rank candidates from Canada’s three economic class immigration programs, i.e., CEC (Canadian Experience Class), FSWP (Federal Skilled Worker Program), and FTSP (Federal Skilled Trades Program).

Applicants of these programs are incredibly skilled and are likely to establish themselves in Canada economically. Therefore, the express entry uses CRS, i.e., a Comprehensive Ranking System, to evaluate the candidates based on human capital aspects, like occupation, work experience, education, language ability, etc.

Applicants attaining higher scores will likely receive an ITA in the forthcoming express entry draw. Moreover, applicants with an issued ITA have 60 days to complete their application for permanent accommodation at IRCC. Then, an immigration officer will further review the application and decide whether the applicant must be approved for permanent residency.
