Five Canadian provinces invited applicants to apply for nomination in the latest PNP draws. Through PNP, provinces select applicants to integrate successfully into the provincial workforce. Provincial governments find these applicants either by selecting them via the federal Express Entry application pool or accepting applications from applicants who apply directly to the province.

The PNP draws exist because immigration is a shared responsibility between provincial & federal governments. Every year, the federal government allocates a specific number of nominations to each province/ region, except Quebec & Nunavut. However, by the end of 2023, IRCC aims to admit over 105,550 new permanent residents via PNP.
