British Columbia & Manitoba invite provincial nominees. Here, we have discussed them in detail. Take a look!

  • British Columbia

The BC PNP, i.e., British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program, issued a minimum of 88 ITAs for permanent residence via its Skilled Worker, International Graduate (includes EEBC option) stream. This stream is made for international graduates who have graduated from a university/ college within the province within the last three years & who have a valid employment offer from a BC employer.

Moreover, invitations were issued to applicants who had professional experience within in-demand positions that the province is seeking. Particularly, these in-demand professions included:

  • Childcare: Applicants require a minimum score of 90
  • Construction: Applicants require a minimum score of 95
  • Healthcare: Applicants require a minimum score of 95
  • Tech Profession: Applicants require a minimum score of 116
  • Veterinary Care: Applicants require a minimum score of 80

Including the EEBC option demonstrates that this is an enhanced provincial nomination stream. Enhanced streams are aligned with the Express Entry management system. This implies that individuals within the Express Entry pool might be invited to apply for PR to a province via these streams.

  • Manitoba

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program issued over 350 ITAs to applicants.

Through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba occupation-specific selection stream, the MPNP invited over 276 invitations to apply to individuals who were working within in-demand professions in the province. Specifically, applicants wired under the following National Occupation Classifications:

  • 33102: Nurse aides, orderlies, & patient service associates
  • 60020: Retail & Wholesale trade managers
  • Group 731: Workers in general construction trades

Note that the NOC system is Canada’s standardized method of categorizing professions within the country.

The MPNP also invited over 87 applicants through the Skilled Worker Overseas stream. Individuals chosen in this draw needed to have a minimum score of 691 & had to indicate that the MPNP invited them under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

Of the 363 invitations issued through these two programs, over 81 were issued to applicants who also declared a valid Express Entry profile, indicating that these are both enhanced streams.
