Three Canadian provinces have nominated applicants in PNP draws this week. Being nominated by the province strengthens a PR application. Well, This is because a province/ region will nominate only the economic immigration applicants who they feel are well-suited to economically establish within the province via filling gaps in the provincial labor force.

These applicants are also considered likely to remain in the nominating province & are often already living there, or they have an employment offer or close family members in the region/ province.

The nominated Express Entry applicants also benefit from getting an extra 600 points on the CRS. Thus, this implies that they are nearly guaranteed to obtain an ITA in an upcoming Express Entry round of invitations to apply for permanent residency.
