British Columbia and Manitoba conduct the latest PNP draws and invite qualified applicants. The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has released updates regarding the processing of their provincial immigration streams.

Candidates were invited by British Columbia and Manitoba in separate draws according to their educational background, employment experience, and involvement in specific strategic recruitment initiatives.

Provincial immigration outcomes (September 27 to October 4)

British Columbia

Two immigration draws were held on October 2 by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) for candidates who were interested in moving to the province: one was general and the other was sector-specific. Eighty-one individuals from a variety of immigration streams were invited to the general draw.

Below are the streams and their corresponding cut-off scores for the general draw:

  • The cut-off score for the Skilled Worker stream is 128.
  • The cut-off score for the International Graduate stream is also 128.
  • The cut-off score for the Entry Level & Semi-Skilled stream is 110.

In the subsequent round, individuals with professional background in high-demand fields within the British Columbia labor market were invited by the BCPNP.

  • For the Childcare draw type, the minimum score required is 83, with 35 invitations issued.
  • In the Construction draw type, the minimum score is 89, resulting in 23 invitations.
  • The Healthcare draw type has a minimum score of 99, with 28 invitations extended.
  • For the Veterinary Care draw type, the minimum score is 80, and fewer than 5 invitations were issued.

Manitoba

Two immigration draws were held on September 27 by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

269 letters encouraging applicants to apply were sent out in the initial draw, which focused on the International Education stream.

In the second draw, individuals chosen through a “Strategic Recruitment Initiative” received 79 letters of advice in the Skilled Worker Overseas stream. Candidates required a minimum score of 582 in order to be invited.

56 of the 348 applicants who were invited in total for both draws stated they had a valid Express Entry profile and a valid job seeker validation code.
