Four Canadian provinces issued provincial nominations. Through their Provincial Nomination Programs (PNPs) and other provincial immigration programs, four separate provinces nominated people this week. A number of criteria, including professional experience, employment history, linguistic ability, educational background, and other pertinent variables, were taken into consideration while making these nominations. It’s crucial to remember that PNP scoring schemes vary from province to province and shouldn’t be simply compared. Candidates are assessed by each province in accordance with its unique needs and priorities in relation to its immigration programs.

Provincial immigration outcomes from June 18th to June 28th

British Columbia

Six of its provincial streams saw immigration draws this week under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

A combined draw was done on June 25th for five streams: Entry Level and Semi-Skilled, International Graduate, International Graduate EEBC option, Skilled Worker, and Skilled Worker: Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) option. A total of thirty-five candidates were invited to register. For permanent residence (PR), candidates in four streams needed to score at least 134 to be ITAs, whilst candidates in the entry-level and semi-skilled streams needed to score at least 110.

Furthermore, another draw was held that same day for the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams (which includes the EEBC option), awarding ITAs to applicants who possess professional expertise in jobs that are in high demand in British Columbia. At least 29 ITAs were issued by this stream. To be eligible for an ITA, candidates in the childcare and construction industries had to score at least 97, healthcare candidates had to score 106, and veterinary care providers had to score at least 80.

Manitoba

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held draws and sent out LAAs to 413 candidates during the week of June 21 and 25.

Under the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, the MPNP held a draw on June 21st and awarded 52 LAAs to applicants who received at least 721 points. 111 individuals were invited simultaneously by the MPNP via the International Education Stream. Of the 163 applicants invited on that particular day, 31 had legitimate Express Entry profiles.

Moreover, 250 applicants were invited by the MPNP on June 25th via the Skilled Worker Overseas stream’s Occupation-Specific Selection procedure. Candidates had to work in jobs classified under certain National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes and have a minimum score of 516.

  • 31301: Includes registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses.
  • 31302: Encompasses nurse practitioners.
  • 32101: Covers licensed practical nurses.
  • 33102: Involves nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associates.

Ninety-three of the 250 applicants who were invited have active Express Entry profiles. For official government reasons, the NOC system classifies and recognizes occupations in Canada.
