Four Canadian provinces have nominated provincial nomination candidates for the latest PNP results.  The provincial & federal governments share responsibility for Canadian Immigration. They view PNP as a valuable instrument for spreading the financial benefits of immigration to regions outside the significant urban centers.

In addition, through the PNP, provincial governments can nominate the applicants they feel are best to establish & integrate within the nominated province economically. Once an applicant obtains a PNP nomination, it generally becomes less challenging for them to gain permanent inhabitant status.

However, after the province nominates the applicants for the latest PNP results, it does not guarantee that the applicant will become a permanent inhabitant. Still, they must apply to IRCC.
