This week, Provincial Nominations Issued by Ontario, BC, and Manitoba candidates through their respective Provincial Nominee Programs.

Through specific Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) streams, candidates were asked to apply. Candidates were chosen on the basis of their educational background, job experience, and vocational skills. Also, every immigration stream is a unique route to permanent residency, and some may have sub-streams that concentrate on particular facets of a candidate’s background, including employment history or educational background.

To determine whether a candidate is eligible for nomination, each PNP uses a distinct scoring methodology. Since these scores are province-specific, it is not appropriate to compare them between PNPs.

A subset of PNP streams are deemed “enhanced,” denoting their alignment with the Express Entry system of the federal government, which permits them to propose individuals from the federal immigration pool.

Additionally, a nomination certificate from a PNP can provide candidates for Express Entry an extra 600 CRS points, almost guaranteeing them an ITA via the Express Entry system.

Provincial Nominations Issued by Ontario, BC, and Manitoba, August 10-16th

Furthermore, the OINP invited 958 individuals who had employment offers in other in-demand occupations to a second draw that same day. A minimum score of 54 was required of the contestants for this draw.

Four targeted draws were held this week by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) via the International Graduate and Skilled Worker streams, which also include the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) option. Candidates with talents in professions that are in demand across five major economic sectors were the focus of these draws.

At least 135 individuals were invited to apply in total, and the minimum score requirements varied depending on the desired draw:

252 applicants who satisfied the requirements were invited to the first draw, which was held under the International Education Stream. This includes earning a CLB of at least 7 and possessing a master’s or doctoral degree from a Manitoba institution within the previous three years. For this draw, there was no stated cut-off score.

Moreover, the MPNP held a draw for the Skilled Worker Overseas stream on the same day. As a part of the MPNP’s “strategic recruitment initiative,” 40 candidates were invited to this draw. In addition to fulfilling the eligibility conditions, candidates had to score at least 703 on the MPNP scoring system.

Thirty-seven of the 292 ITAs were extended to applicants with active Express Entry profiles.
