Recent PNP draws see invitations from B.C and Manitoba. Candidates have just received invitations from Manitoba and British Columbia via Canada’s PNP draws.

With the exception of Quebec and Nunavut, provincial nominee programs are immigration schemes overseen by each Canadian province and territory. Under Canada’s federal-provincial collaboration in immigration governance, these policies are implemented.

IRCC creates an Immigration Levels Plan every year that specifies how many permanent residents are to be admitted to Canada in the next year and establishes baseline goals for the next two years. The distribution of admissions for permanent residents among different immigration programs is likewise decided by this plan. For example, the IRCC intends to implement the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to bring 110,000 new permanent citizens to the country in 2024.

Each participating province receives nominations from the IRCC in order to accomplish this goal. Next, applicants for economic immigration are chosen by provincial governments with the intention of helping the local economy and filling critical labor market gaps in the province.
