  • Saskatchewan Express Entry 

Skilled workers who are in the Express Entry pool & who wish to reside & work in the province can apply for this sub-stream. Applicants having evidence of legal status in Canada & those who are outside the nation can apply for this sub-stream. 

Below are the eligibility requirements for the program & its subsequent subcategories: 

  • Have an Express Entry profile that has a job seeker validation code & profile number. 
  • Secure at least 60 points in the points assessment grid in the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program. 
  • Offer valid results/ outcomes for language tests from a recognized agency for testing corresponding to the results provided in the Express Entry profile.
  • Have completed one year of training, apprenticeship, or education at the post-secondary level on par with the Canadian education system that results in a Degree, Diploma, or Certificate.
  • Diplomas & Degrees obtained outside of Canada must be assessed for ECA. 
  • Possess a minimum of any one of the following experience requirements in your area of training, profession, or education: 
  • One year of work experience in a skilled profession in the last ten years
  • Two years of work experience in a skilled trade in the last five years
  • One year of work experience in Canada in the last three years
  • Possess work experience in a high-skilled NOC profession 0, B, A not included in the disqualified profession list 
  • Have a settlement plan & evidence for a settlement plan

Saskatchewan Experience Category 

  • Skilled Worker Having Existing Work Permit 

Skilled workers who are working in the province for a minimum of six months & have a valid work permit can apply to this sub-stream.

  • Semi-Skilled Agriculture Worker Having Existing Work Permit 

Semi-skilled agricultural workers who are working in the province for a minimum of six months & have a valid professional work permit can apply for this sub-stream.

  • Health Professional 

Nurses, physicians & other health professionals who are working in the province for a minimum of six months & have a valid professional work permit can apply for this sub-stream.

  • Hospitality Sector Pilot Project 

Overseas nationals who are working in the province for a minimum of six months in one of the three occupations can apply for this sub-stream. 

  • Long Haul Truck Drivers 

This sub-stream enables the Long Haul Truck drivers working in the province & having a valid provisional work permit to apply for a Canada PR visa. 

Saskatchewan Business Stream 

  • Entrepreneur 

The Saskatchewan Entrepreneur subcategory permits applicants & their families to obtain, begin, or collaborate in a business in the province. Also, candidates must be involved actively in managing the business & reside in the province. It has a process that includes three stages: 

  • EOI – Expression of Interest
  • Nomination   
  • Invite to submit an application 

Successful applicants come to Canada on a Provisional Work Permit. Moreover, they qualify to apply for a nomination after they spend six months establishing their business in the province. 

  • International Graduate Entrepreneur 

This category aims to assist overseas students who graduate from universities/ institutions in the province to remain there as entrepreneurs & attract investment for the business. 

  • Farm Operators 

Individuals with farming experience who wish to buy & operate a farm in Saskatchewan can apply for this subcategory of Saskatchewan. It also has a pathway for young farmers who want to establish themselves in Saskatchewan. 

Furthermore, successful applicants are directly offered the Canada PR visa. Specific applicants can also arrive in the province on a Provisional Work Permit during the PR visa application processing.
