Three Canadian provinces invite PNP applicants in recent draws. Every province except Nunavut and  Quebec operates its own Provincial Nominee Programs. These programs help provincial governments select economic immigration applicants who will support the local economy and  successfully integrate.

The PNP is a pathway to permanent residence and  was established in 1998 to help spread the economic benefits of immigration throughout Canada instead of a few urban centers such as Vancouver, Toronto, etc.

In addition, all PNPs have multiple streams to attract a wide range of applicants, depending on their eligibility, like programs for international students, those with job offers in the province, or those with experience in specific professions.
