Three provinces invite applicants in the latest PNP results. Applicants were invited via economic, humanitarian, & human capital streams.

Note: All provincial immigration streams use their own scoring system, which has been implemented for internal purposes. Therefore, one must not compare scores from one province’s PNP or provincial pathway to scores from another province.

Provincial Immigration Results: March 22 – 28

Three provinces invite applicants in the latest Provincial Nominee Program results. So, here is a detailed analysis of the provinces.

  • British Columbia

On March 19, the BC PNP declared that it would phase out the International Graduate and International Post-Graduate streams. Three new streams would replace both:

  • The Bachelor Stream invites applicants who have obtained bachelor’s degrees from eligible post-secondary institutions & have a full-time job offer.
  • The Master Stream will invite graduates with master’s degrees from eligible post-secondary institutions. To register, applicants will require a full-time job offer in a skilled profession that is a minimum of one year in length.
  • The Doctorate Stream will invite candidates who are graduates or are within doctoral-level programs in eligible post-secondary institutions.

Students who have completed a diploma or certificate program in Canada but aren’t eligible for the above streams might still apply to other programs under the BC PNP. In addition, applicants will require a minimum CLB level of 8 to apply for these new graduate streams.

Moreover, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program will also increase the minimum language proficiency requirements across all its streams. The above-mentioned changes are expected to be implemented in January 2025.

Furthermore, on March 26, the BC PNP issued over 127 ITAs to immigration applicants via its Skilled Worker International Graduate & Skilled Worker International Graduate EEBC stream.
