Two Canadian provinces issue provincial immigration nominations. Applicants were invited through skilled worker streams who had skills in key employment areas, an offer of employment in the province, or had previously studied in the province that nominated them. Read on to know more about it!
Immigration Results: May 3rd – 10th
Note: Different PNPs have their own methods of assigning scores to applicants for immigration purposes. As such, cut-off scores for immigration draw on one PNP and must not be compared to cut-off scores from PNPs in other provinces. Moreover, some provinces might use other terms for ITAs. However, all of these terms refer to the same kind of invitation.
Two Canadian provinces issue provincial immigration nominations. Well, here are the results for the same:
1. British Columbia
British Columbia invited a minimum of 77 applicants through the Skilled Worker and International Graduate (including EEBC option) streams of the Provincial Nomination Program.
Applicants were invited for individuals who had eligible professional experience in sectors with in-demand professions that the BC PNP targets. Minimum scores varied for each draw, with the following cut-offs:
- Childcare draw cut-off score: 90
- Construction draws cut-off score: 93
- Healthcare draw cut-off score: 100
- Tech draw cut-off score: 120
- Veterinary care draw cut-off score: 80
The International Graduate stream targets individuals who have graduated from an eligible Canadian university/ college in the last three years. A BC employer must obtain an employment offer to be eligible for this stream. In addition, the ‘includes EEBC option’ indicates that the stream is an enhanced PNP stream, which aligns with the federal Express Entry system. As a result, this implies that the BC PNP can invite eligible applicants in the Express Entry pool through this stream to immigrate & settle in the province.
2. Manitoba
Manitoba invited over 371 applicants through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program this week. Also, applicants were invited across three different streams & an occupation-specific draw.
In addition, the first draw was an occupation-specific selection, which targeted profiles declaring present employment in professions with a high labor need in the province. 18 ITAs were issued to applicants who had experience in professions corresponding to NOC Codes:
- 72024 – Supervisors, motor transport, and other ground transit operators
- 73301 – Bus drivers, subway operators, and other transit operators
Note: The NOC system is Canada’s national system for classifying and defining jobs in the nation’s labor market.
The second draw was an all-program selection that invited 242 eligible applicants under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream. Moreover, applicants required a minimum ranking score of 836 to be invited.
The third draw occurred under the International Education Stream, wherein 76 eligible applicants were invited. Moreover, the International Education Stream invites graduates from schools in Manitoba who meet the province’s labor market needs. The stream includes the Career Employment pathway, the Graduate Internship pathway, & International Student Entrepreneur pathway.
The final draw took place under the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, inviting 35 applicants with a minimum ranking score of 698. Moreover, the Skilled Worker Overseas stream enables applicants from abroad who have high in-demand skills & professional experience to be nominated to immigrate & settle in Manitoba. Also, the stream consists of the Manitoba Express Entry pathway & Human Capital pathway.
Of the 371 applicants who were invited, over 66 declared a valid Express Entry profile & job seeker validation code.
