Starting September 20, Newfoundland & Labrador will begin their first of five virtual immigration & job fairs for foreign nationals.

Immigrating To & Living In The Province

Last year, Newfoundland & Labrador was found to be the happiest province in Canada, according to a study by Statistics Canada. This might be the case for a multitude of reasons. Still, it is nonetheless an indication that this province has a positive reputation. As a result, it makes it a worthwhile consideration for newcomers seeking to settle in Canada.

Among the benefits of settling in the province as a newcomer/ immigrant are the province’s affordability, cultural richness, safety, proximity to nature, etc.

For instance, the province is often praised for having some of the most affordable housing options, like condominiums, semi as well as fully-detached homes, and townhouses.

Additionally, the minimum wage in the province is presently $14.50, a figure which is on par with the rest of the country. However, the province is also expected to raise the wages again on October 1, 2023.

These affordability measures & the increasing minimum wage figures imply that newcomers to Canada will likely be able to better adjust to life in a new nation & experience a better quality of life as a whole.
